CSR and eco-design
CSR andeco design are 2 pillars of the company that are integrated into all our processes through the environmental, societal and social dimension. We are trained internally to calculate the carbon balances of each of our projects in order to be able to reduce our footprint as much as possible and to improve continuously. We carry out a careful study of the design of each project in order to minimize its energy consumption.
As part of this approach, we are certified Ecovadis Silver and committed to the ISO 26000 standard. We only work with suppliers who meet the criteria we set, who respect humans and the environment. All of our suppliers are located less than 900 km from Avrillé, which guarantees the delivery of our raw material with minimal CO2 emissions.
LGC is also committed at the local level by promoting technical and professional training for various market players (schools, public institutions, etc.)

The LGC method
The APQP quality process, an example of compliance
APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) is a collaborative project management method that makes it possible to plan and manage the quality of products throughout their life cycle, from design to serial production.
Monitoring the APQP approach is essential to guarantee the quality of the products and projects that we co-develop with our design office. It offers crucial insurance for our customers and is the basis for a lasting relationship of trust with our suppliers.
This tool is a prerequisite for OEMs and Tier 1 that we have adapted internally.
It is this method that allows us to design and modify products and to manage industrial projects “right the first time” while maximizing customer satisfaction.

Plan and define
Advanced planning of technical studies and the project. Feasibility control using the FMEA tool, which is used to analyze failure modes, their effects and their criticality.
Prototyping
The project team creates prototypes using a 3D machine and simulation software such as SolidWorks Premium, Spacerclaim.
Product validation
Manufacture of initial samples in medium series, and validation of production with PPAP according to the IATF 16949 standard.
Industrialization/Production
The serial transition is carried out according to the validated process according to the production control plan written by a multidisciplinary team.
Assessment and improvement
After 3 to 6 months of series production, an evaluation based on the criteria required by the IATF 16949 standard verifies the conformity of the project at 100%.
Continuous improvement at LGC
